Raisin Bran Muffins Recipe
Ingredients:
3/4 c of bran flakes
1/4 c of raisins
1 c of flour; sifted
1 pc of egg (large)
1/4 c of shortening
2-1/2 tsps of baking powder (Calumet)
3/4 c of milk
1/4 c of sugar
1/2 tsp of salt
Instructions:
Combine the flakes, milk, and raisins; set on the side till mixture has moistened. When moist, add the shortening then the egg; beat thoroughly. Add Calumet, sugar, flour, and salt; stir, don’t beat, until the mixture has blended well.Grease 12-cup (muffin) pans and fill 2/3 of the cups. Bake, 400 degrees F for 1/2 hour.
