How To Make Healthy Yogurt & Oat Muffins For Kids

How To Make Healthy Yogurt & Oat Muffins For Kids

Delicious and nutritious treats made for the kids are very difficult to find. This delicious recipe that I’ve come across is truly healthy and delicious plus it will always be a sure hit for parents and kids alike.

These muffins tend to be so moist that they may be kept for about two to three days if they haven’t been eaten yet. They possess a great crust as well as delicious flavor. Mothers love them since they contain oats and yogurt and these 2 ingredients simply are good for their nutrition.

Kids enjoy them since they simple taste really good plus they can’t see that there were some healthy ingredients placed inside the muffin when they’re being baked. Since kids are really so picky now so don’t divulge your secret that these muffins have oats and yogurt inside them, just give them these delicious muffins and allow them to enjoy these sweet baked goodies!

Allow yourself to explore and experiment using different flavors. My personal recipes include cinnamon and bananas, since these are always available in my house. Usually my own kids don’t like any raisins in any food that I give them so they take it out and so I am left to clean up a raisin trail.

I attempted to use some nuts too but I only have one kid who enjoyed eating the nuts, which means crumbs of nuts would replace the raisin trail. So I opted not to use nuts instead and stick using the popular choice of our house – the choco chips. But normally I don’t have choco chips on a regular basis.

Oats & Yogurt Muffins

1 pc banana (ripe); mashed
1 c of plain yogurt (unsweetened)
1 c of oats (rolled)
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
1 pc egg
1/2 c of oil (vegetable)
1 1/4 c flour (self rising)
1/2 c of sugar

Some alternative combinations:

As a replacement for using cinnamon and banana try using 1 tsp of vanilla and 1/2 c of nuts (mixed) or 1/2 c of choco chips. Or simply create your personal version with seasonal fruits and berries that you love.

Combine yogurt and oats then place them inside your refrigerator to soak for 30 mins. Once they’re done soaking, that’s the time you beat in egg, oil and sugar, and then carefully fold flour together with your flavor combination. Spoon batter or mixture inside the muffin molders that were already greased.

Usually two kinds of muffin molders exist and they are the twelve large muffin sizes or twenty four smaller sizes. When baking muffins for your kid’s lunch box, it’s better to use paper liners too. Bake them at 400 deg. F or 200 deg. C for about fifteen to twenty minutes till its top tends to be springy to your touch and they’ve turned golden brown already.

Those smaller muffins would be perfect for the kid’s school lunch boxes , if there’s any leftover though.

These muffins also help especially during a bake sale for school and events in class wherein teachers specifically request just healthy and nutritious foods while your kid also desires to bring something really delicious and tasty – simply inform their teacher what is inside the special muffins and definitely they’d agree that its really healthy.

You might like to go for nuts and raisins though instead of choco chips. Have fun baking
