Low Fat Bran Muffins Recipe
Ingredients:
1.5 c of cereal (100%PRCTG% bran)
1 c of skim milk
1/4 c of brown sugar
1 pc of egg; whisked
1/2 c of applesauce (unsweetened)
2.5 Tbsps of margarine or butter; softened
1 c of flour
2.5 tsps of baking powder
Instructions:
Combine milk and cereal into a large-sized bowl. Set it aside. Combine butter, egg and applesauce into a separate bowl. Mix with the milk mixture. Mix in brown sugar, flour and baking powder. mix ’til blended.
Grease muffin cups. You may line them with paper cups. Pour the cups with batter three-fourths full. Let it bake inside a preheated oven with a temperature of 400 degrees F for about 15 mins ’til browned nicely. Yields 12 servings.
