How To Prepare Sugar Free, Low-Fat and Delectable Muffins
Muffins are one of our favorite breakfast foods and they’re so yummy to eat especially during breakfast time. The smell of a freshly baked muffin wafting throughout your kitchen is really wonderful and what’s even better is actually eating them up.
For the weight watchers, muffins are seen as indulgent because they’re sugary and contain lots of fat as well as calories so here is one recipe for great muffins that are great for the dieters and weight watchers out there to enjoy.
Normally we wouldn’t expect a tasty muffin to be low in calories and low in fat but the recipe here is and apart from being really healthy, you’d love their taste and you can make them with a variety of flavor alternatives too.
Ingredients:
1 egg (big)
1/3 c sugar replacement (eg. Splenda)
2 c flour (all-purpose); sifted
1/2 tsp cinnamon
4 tsps baking powder
1/4 c powdered milk (non-fat,dry)
1.5 tsps baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsps sugar (brown, granulated)
1.5 c apples (fresh); cubed
Using one large mixing bowl beat in sugar, yogurt, oil, milk and egg. Then sift together the salt, cinnamon, baking soda and powder, and flour onto another mixing bowl.
Gradually pour in all those sifted items together with the batter containing egg. Then fold or mix in till all the items are completely blended, without over mixing them too. Gradually fold those apples in making them ready for the batch of muffins.
Spoon mixture inside the individual muffin molds, or using any pan that’s just been greased or sprayed. Fill the individual cup to about 2/3’s full. When desiring that glazed top muffin effect, simply sprinkle brown sugar on its top.
When wanting to maintain a really free from sugar muffin then just don’t add any sugar. Just use fruits that are naturally sweet if you don’t want bland muffins too.
Preheat oven up to 400 degrees then bake them for approximately fifteen to twenty minutes. Once the tops of your muffins have turned brown or golden, insert a clean toothpick and when it comes out of the muffin clean, then your delicious muffins are already ready. Remove them off the oven.
Allow muffins to cool down on the cooling racks for around 5-10 mins. Once done remove muffins off their pan. Either serve them immediately or store them inside a container that is air tight to lock in its moisture. This muffin recipe serves up to twelve muffins.
