Brown Sugar Nutmeg Muffins Recipe
Ingredients
2 whole eggs
1 c of buttermilk
1/2 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of Arm and Hammer (baking soda)
2 tsps of nutmeg (fresh)
2 tsps of baking powder
3/4 c of butter
1 1/2 c of sugar (brown)
3 c of flour; divided equally
2 c of Bran cereal
Instructions:
Heat oven, 350 degrees F. Sift sugar and two cups flour. Cut butter in and mix until crumbly. Set aside three fourths cup from your flour mixture to be used as topping.
Mix the remainder of your flour, baking soda, baking powder, nutmeg and salt; mix thoroughly. Pour batter onto greased muffin trays. Top each with a teaspoon of topping then bake for twenty mins until set.
